Dr. Erica Irish grew up in New York City and moved to Florida in 2001. She attended the University of Florida as an undergraduate and then again for veterinary school, graduating from the UF College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. With her combined experience as a veterinary technician and then as a veterinarian, Dr. Irish has worked in the field of veterinary medicine for over 20 years.

Dr. Irish is particularly interested in internal medicine, cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, and integrative medicine. She has certifications from the American Veterinary Dental College and from the UF College of Public Health and Health Professions. She is also a member of the Alumni Executive Board for the UF College of Veterinary Medicine, and she works as an editor/proofreader and freelance writer for various veterinary blogs. When she’s not working or writing, Dr. Irish loves spending time with her husband, their two children, and their five cats and two dogs. She especially enjoys reading and baking in her spare time.
