Why Pumpkin was created
Pumpkin was founded in 2020 by Zoetis to address a growing gap in pet care: veterinary costs were rising about 6% a year,⁴ yet 61% of Americans couldn’t cover a $1,000 pet emergency,⁵ and just 2% of US pets were insured.⁶
We set out to change that – helping more families access the high-quality care their pets deserve.
